About Orchard Coast Farms
Orchard Coast Farms is a diversified growing, food production, and tourism operation based in Picton, in beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario.
We produce unique varieties of gourmet fresh fruits and vegetables, high quality jams, syrups, sauces, beverages and baked goods; and provide our customers and visitors with opportunities to see and experience the best of life in The County.
Our main site is Hughes Orchards, a 125-acre property fronting Lake Ontario on County Road 8 in the Hamlet of Waupoos, in the Ward of North Marysburgh. Apples have been grown at Hughes Orchards for over a century. Today we have about 25,000 trees covering 48 acres producing 25 different varieties of apples. We supply apples to our own market garden store, local grocers, farmers' markets, juice makers, packers, and we open our orchards every fall for pick-your-own customers. We also grow raspberries, squash, pumpkins, herbs, and flowers for cutting at Hughes Orchards. Starting in spring 2005 we'll be producing maple syrup from our 2000+ maples trees.
Down the road and just west of Hughes Orchards, we grow 35 acres of strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, beets and melons at Hicks Farm. Several fields of strawberries, tomatoes and peppers are open to pick-your-own customers.
Come to Orchard Coast Farms and visit our market garden store, walk through the maize maze, check out the organic gardens, or stroll through Hughes Orchards. We'd love to see you.
